About Exposed SEO

In this blog I will be sharing some of my seo and marketing techniques as well as some of my random seo ramblings. Most of the methods I will be talking about have been personally tested and have been proven to work. I can't say this blog is strictly white hat seo. Just because some ideas are unethical and extremely black hat, does not mean we should not discuss them. I hope you enjoy my blog. Don't forget to bookmark and subscribe :)

April fools day is the day for link baiting

Unfortunately this year i did not have time to come up with any decent pranks. It seems like other were well prepared. Have a look at this video i saw on Youtube:

The best thing about 1st of April is that you can pretty much just come up with any kind of nonsense and get away with it. If people believe you, you can really scoop up some traffic. If not, you can always blame it on the April fool’s day. For example this year i was going to spend a bit of time photoshopping and writing up a realistic press release about a “leaked” design of the second iphone Apple is developing. I bet that story would have hit the front page of many social bookmarks in no time. I was hoping to write something controversial as well and get sued by Apple but then i realised they would not really bother with me. That would have been a great story for the media though.

Talking about link baits. I am working on a few interesting tools that some of you will find handy. I bet these will be a good link bait. You can expect to see the first tool some time this week.

[…] But it seems those who really tried to make the most of the day were all those bloggers trying to reel in some traffic while link-baiting. […]
