Deep link development for bloggers using CommentLuv
CommentLuv is a wordpress plugin that automatically displays the commentators last blog entry in his/her comment. Try searching for “Enable CommentLuv” + yourkeyword to find thousands of blog entries you can comment on. As usual there are two ways of doing this. Spam the crap out of every single blog you see and get most of your comments deleted (Not recommended) or post useful comments on related blogs you are interested in. You should end up with some nice, deep and permanent backlinks.
Use the pagerank search tool to arrange your search results by PR.

I love to have this plugin, but would it slow down the loading process

I haven’t found it to slow anything down. I am wondering why it’s not used here tho.

I just posted on this too… Did you find out about this through Digital Point? I had the author of the DP thread about this write up a post for my site.
And by the way, you can’t believe how grateful i am for that pagerank search tool you linked to… i have been trying to use yahoo siteexplorer with SEOquake, but seoquake’s been way buggy for me, and not working 75% of the time.
Fantastic!

@Dennis Edell - the article is telling you how to find blogs using the plugin, it’s not advocating using the plugin.
As far as slowing the loading process, the only potential problem I see is if your server is high volume and you have your timeouts set to 15 seconds or less, the script will timeout looking for an RSS feed on a slow loading blog.

@ Link Building Bible
No i did not. I found this plugin on one of the blogs being advertised on entrecard widget and decided to see if i could find more of these.
When it comes to slowing down the server i think there is either something wrong with your plugin (Possible interference with other modifications possibly?) or you just need a new host.

Yeah, CommentLuv is a great plug-in. Aside from getting links, it helps get the word out about your latest blog post.

Yeh, comment luv is a nice plugin.
But i thought its a no-follow plugin. Isn’t it ?
April 8th, 2008 at 12:15 am
Yes, the CL plugin does leave your blog feed link as no-follow.

Have you seen my blog on nofollow links? http://www.exposedseo.com/2008/03/25/do-nofollow-links-help/

I think its a good plugin, but my host tells me it chews up quite a bit of server resource.
April 10th, 2008 at 12:20 am
tell your host to get a bigger server or that you’ll find a different one!

good review but why not use it on your blog?
I have set it up on my blog already,

I like to keep things simple. There are hundreds of great plugins out there and you can’t have all of them. Just trying not to get too carried away.

Realistically it does chew up a little bandwidth and more importantly server resources. On a site with tons of active users it can take up to 1/4 of the resources depending on the platform and user load.
