About Exposed SEO

In this blog I will be sharing some of my seo and marketing techniques as well as some of my random seo ramblings. Most of the methods I will be talking about have been personally tested and have been proven to work. I can't say this blog is strictly white hat seo. Just because some ideas are unethical and extremely black hat, does not mean we should not discuss them. I hope you enjoy my blog. Don't forget to bookmark and subscribe :)

About me

Hey! My name is Ilia and welcome to my blog! I am 22 years of age, 7 of which I've spent working for myself. I've had a lot of success with seo and Internet marketing. I've achieved a number of highly competitive rankings, driven millions of organic visitors every month and generated thousands of dollars in revenue. Now I'm here to share some of my experience with you.

Buying the same domain with different extensions might be a good idea.

If you run a small business and decide to set up a little website you might want to register the same domain but with other extensions, especially if your company name consists of dictionary words. For example if you own coolswimminglessons.com you might want to register coolswimminglessons.info/net/co.uk and other versions of you domain as well.

“Why?” - You may ask. To save yourself from “evil” seo companies. This blackhat business model is on the raise and actually effected a few people I personally know.

The company searches for small websites belonging to various local companies. After finding the right website they go and register the same domain name but with a different extension. They quickly seo this domain to the top of the SERPs and fill it up with extreme adult material. Therefore every time somebody searches for “London bakery” or “cool swimming lessons” they actually end up on that adult website. The next step is to contact the original business and offer them that domain name for a particular sum of money. Most businesses don’t have a choice but to pay.

The problem with dictionary words in domain name is that it will be harder for you to get anyone done for trademark infringement. For example anyone can register a domain name beebay.com and set up a little website about bees and bays but if you were to register googlebay.com you will probably get into legal trouble.

    or…

“evil” domain stalkers grab up domains of small businesses that make the mistake of letting their domain expire only to load it full of adult content.

that way when potential customers stumble across the site, use the “old” domain, etc etc. they are exposed to something shocking. this creates an even bigger need for the small business to purchase the domain back when the “evil” domainer approaches to sell it back.

and for small businesses its cheaper to pay a small(er) fee to buy it back than to sue or even face potential customer lose.
