Every day I have a lot of various jobs to do. Some of these things I enjoy doing; others I find boring and repetitive. I tend to leave these till the last minute. But how do you stay productive and use your time to the maximum without getting bored or even too lazy to do anything? I used to struggle myself until I tried a great system which I saw on one of the blogs. (I would love to give the author some credit but I simply can’t find the original post.)
The trick is to create a point system. Various tasks will earn you a certain amount of points. Tasks that are important or you don’t like doing earn you more points. You then set yourself a target of collecting a certain number of points every day. For example you need to collect 100 points every day. Each blog post will earn you 5 points. Each backlink you find will earn you 1 point. Each template you design will earn you 80 points and so on. Now you can mix and match various jobs without getting bored and as long as you earn that 100 points a day, you know you were productive with your time.
Also try making a list of things you need to do today before you get to work. This seems stupid I know but for some reason (I’m not a psychologist) you are more likely to remember and do things when you write them down. Seriously, try it and you will find yourself becoming more efficient.
The other trick is to actually get to work. It sounds really silly but most people “working” online simply don’t do any work. This is why they are not earning as much as they wanted to. Have a look at any webmaster forum. Most topics would be questions. Someone would ask “What is the best way to make money online?” and when they will get a reply they will think “Hmmmm… this method is not that good” and go off to find another method. How do I know this? Because I used to do the same thing. At the end of the day you can spend your whole life learning seo and marketing, downloading ebooks, visiting forums and reading my blog but if you don’t go and put your knowledge into practice you will never earn a penny.
Here is another free tool for you to use for all those quick registrations. Let me deal with your spam for you. Let me know if this tool stops working or you find any bugs. I am yet to do a few tweaks but everything should be working fine. Enjoy!
It has been a good month for me so I’ve decided to start April with a little competition. It is a very simple and should i say, standard competition. You pretty much earn as many points as you want and each one of them will give you an entry into the prize draw taking place on April the 30th.
1st prize - $50 paypal + 2000 entrecard credits + 1 month 125 x 125 ad spot on exposed seo.
2nd prize - $30 paypal + 1000 entrecard credits + 1 month 125 x 125 ad spot on exposed seo.
3rd prize - $20 paypal + 500 entrecard credits + 1 month 125 x 125 ad spot on exposed seo.

Earn 5 points for reviewing exposed seo on your own blog or blogging about my competition.
Earn 2 points for subscribing to exposed seo via email.
Earn 1 point for dropping 3 entre cards on exposed seo.
Earn 2 points for stumbeling this post.
When you are done simply leave a comment with your blog url, stumble username, entrecard blog url and use the email address you used for subscription. (If applicable) Also please post the amount of points you have earned. That will make it easier for me to count and check them later. All winners will be randomly picked on 30th of April and contacted via the email they used in the comments. All payments will be made via paypal only. Have further questions? Comment bellow.
Good luck!
Just a quick blog to get your views on my re-design. I’ve spent the most of today getting everything sorted, tweaked and upgraded. So i hope you like this theme better. I think its much neater anyway. Let me know what you think.
I have an old fashioned notepad in front of me containing at least 20 topics i was going to blog about so a lot more reading for you to come.
Today someone wanted to know what hosting i use so i thought i would give them my referral url. It turned out this forum software would not even let me post it. I tried tinyurl but it was also blocked. Some admins go through great lengths trying to stop you from posting referral links, which i never quite understood. I run a webmaster forum myself and never had a problem with people posting an odd referral link now and then as long as they were not spamming. Anyhow, i set up a quick tinyurl clone. Its quite useful for masking your referral urls and such. Even though the urls you get are not that short. Feel free to use the tool bellow.
Talking about hosting. If you feel like giving asmallorange.com a try (Which i use myself) i have a nice little $5 off coupon “exposedseo” and 15% off coupon “exposedseo15″.
