In this blog I will be sharing some of my seo and marketing techniques as well as some of my random seo ramblings. Most of the methods I will be talking about have been personally tested and have been proven to work. I can't say this blog is strictly white hat seo. Just because some ideas are unethical and extremely black hat, does not mean we should not discuss them. I hope you enjoy my blog. Don't forget to bookmark and subscribe :)
Hey! My name is Ilia and welcome to my blog! I am 22 years of age, 7 of which I've spent working for myself. I've had a lot of success with seo and Internet marketing. I've achieved a number of highly competitive rankings, driven millions of organic visitors every month and generated thousands of dollars in revenue. Now I'm here to share some of my experience with you.
So what is seo social?
I was trying to create a social webmaster news website similar to Digg that would be very useful to the actual contributors in terms of link development.
As well as submitting stories that simply point to your blog post for example; you are able to submit content rich articles containing as many backlinks as you want with an anchor text of your choice. Therefore you will end up with a quality page related to your website giving you 100% pure and natural looking dofollow link juice. Obviously you can simply submit a lousy paragraph with a bunch of links but I strongly encourage you to take your time and write something useful. At the end of the day any kind of spam will be filtered out Digg style.
I also wanted to encourage discussion. So if you want to discuss a certain webmaster related subject or simply have a question feel free to submit one.
Seo social is still in beta stages so you might see a few bugs. You can report them here. Apart from that feel free to play around with it and get yourself some linky goodness. Lets see if we can turn seo social into a useful resource.
Have you ever thought how accurate your statistics are? Most of you should have noticed the big difference between Awstats, Google Analytics and Alexa. In fact I took a few minutes to actually go through my stats and visually compare the data. Bellow is a quick (Not so quality) graph comparing Analytics to Awstats and Alexa. Click on the image to enlarge.

The graph is not to scale. So you should only compare the patterns. Another graph bellow however IS to scale and compares Awstats to Google Analytics for this month.

As you can see there is a big difference. But why?
Alexa, Google Analytics and Awstats use different technologies to collect the data. Awstats is server based and crunches the numbers it finds in server logs. With Awstats every call made to a server is recorded. There is no way of going around it. All actions will eventually end up in your server logs. And the best thing about Awstats is that you are dealing with your own server directly. There is no other 3rd party to corrupt your data. However there are a few things on the client side Awstats can miss such as screen resolution. It does gather some data using JavaScript but this requires a compatible client and is said to be somewhat unreliable.
Google Analytics on the other hand uses JavaScript. If you forgotten to add the code to your newly created page it will never be logged. Another problem with JavaScript is that some browsers might not support it or accept it for one reason or another. You are pretty much relying on the client to provide you with the precious data. If however they happen to use cache they might not even need to request another copy of your page containing that lovely Analytics JavaScript. In which case you will never know you had a hit.
And then there is good old Alexa which can be described as a “joke”. It relies on data collected by the toolbar some people decide to install on their browsers to “make a better internet”. Even though it can give you a rough idea of the traffic a particular website receives, Alexa lacks accuracy. In fact they pretty much admitted how much they sucked recently by changing their algorithm.
Overall none of the big 3 will have 100% accuracy. In fact is there anything in this world we can measure with 100% accuracy?
Since the introduction of Google street view many people have been concerned about the privacy of those unfortunate bystanders caught on tape. Even though there are still many arguments to settle it was clearly established by courts that pictures of pedestrians and building exterior are not quite private. However it looks like Google will face stricter EU laws after its street view vans have been spotted in various European cities. In order to tackle this problem Google has been developing an automated face recognition and blurring system. However it seems like above all of these problems some individuals don’t actually mind being shown on Google street view. Not only that, some even play a new games called flash the Google van. (Might be somewhat NSFW)
The code bellow is often used to fake stats or earnings. Simply copy and paste the code into your address bar and click enter. Now you should be able to move around and change various elements on the page. Click on text and you should be able to change it to anything you like.

javascript:document.body.contentEditable='true'; document.designMode='on'; void 0
Go to any page which contains images. You can even do this on my blog even though it might not work as well. Then enter the code bellow into your browser address bar and hit enter. Watch the graphics go crazy.
javascript:R=0; x1=.1; y1=.05; x2=.25; y2=.24; x3=1.6; y3=.24; x4=300; y4=200; x5=300; y5=200; DI=document.getElementsByTagName("img"); DIL=DI.length; function A(){for(i=0; i-DIL; i++){DIS=DI[ i ].style; DIS.position=’absolute’; DIS.left=(Math.sin(R*x1+i*x2+x3)*x4+x5)+”px”; DIS.top=(Math.cos(R*y1+i*y2+y3)*y4+y5)+”px”}R++}setInterval(’A()’,50); void(0);
If you liked the previous two you might want to try the code bellow as well before you get carried away.
javascript:function reverse() { var inp = " )-: moc.oesdesopxe.www//:ptth kramkoob dna ho !krow ot kcab ssa ruoy teG !ton kniht I ?avaJ htiw dnuora ssem ot uoy yap ynapmoc ruoy seoD"; var outp = ""; for (i = 0; i < = inp.length; i++) {outp = inp.charAt (i) + outp ; } alert(outp) ;}; reverse()
